Sheryl had been starting to worry that this really wasn't going to do it for either of them, but then Slaine speaks in that tone, and instantly she knows that yes, yes it damn well will. Just that tone of voice alone makes her shiver, taking a gulp of air. She struggles a bit, pulling against the ropes that hold her arms firmly behind her back. Regardless of what she was saying earlier, she really can't move.

Slaine is a very good actor, she admits, but she's done some acting of her own. The voice she affects is an innocent one, that of someone who hasn't done any wrong - or who is pretending that, at least. "Please, sir!" she says, pleading. "I know nothing about this! I don't know what enemies you mean! I've done nothing wrong, so please let me go!"
